Funeral service for Linda Sue (Seals) Jones, 59, of Lawton will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David D. King, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.
Ms. Jones passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010 in Lawton.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Linda was born on December 9, 1950 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Ollie and Audrey (Garrison) Wainscott. She grew up in the Lawton area and attended local schools, graduating from Sterling High School in 1969. She attended Eve's Beauty College, graduating in 1970. She then moved to San Diego, California where she worked as a cosmetologist, returning to Lawton in 1976 and worked at Herb's Grocery Store for 11 years in the meat department. She then began her career at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant where she worked for 13 years before retiring in 2005. She enjoyed her daughters and grandchildren. She returned to the work force and began working for Lawton Public Schools cooking at several schools in Lawton and in 2009, she started working at Comanche National Casino in the Mustang Cafe where she was very much loved by her friends and co-workers. She sold Home Interior and Avon and played on a dart league. She loved to dance and loved music. She enjoyed cooking for people. She adored her grandchildren and was a people person.
She is survived by her daughters, Lavonne Tieck, of Lawton and Celanda Seals-Morris, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers and spouses, Scotty Wainscott, of Lawton, Gary and Armeldia Wainscott, of Duncan, and Michael and Vickie Wainscott, of Lawton; her sister, Colleen Hudson, of Lawton; her grandchildren, Emily Acosta, Polocarpio Calvillo, Devan Morris, Taylor Morris, Bailey Barnes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Kenneth McLain and Donnie Ray Wainscott.
