Funeral service for Johnny Martin Hocutt at 2 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2008, at Paradise Valley Baptist Church, with Donny Crittendon, officiating.
     
Mr. Hocutt died Thursday, November 13, 2008 in Lawton.
     
Burial will be at Paradise Valley Cemetery under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.      

He was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on February 12, 1934, to Bill and Callie (Ratcliff) Hocutt. The family moved to Roswell, New Mexico and he returned to Comanche, Oklahoma, when he was 8 years old and later moved to Medicine Park. He married Patsy Hendricks on October 19, 1951 at the Holy City of the Wichitas. She preceded him in death on June 17, 2008. He worked at the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant in Lawton and the was a carpenter and worked for many other businesses throughout southwest Oklahoma. He sang and played the guitar at several nursing homes in Lawton and Duncan. He was a talented song writer and published many recordings. He loved to play dominoes and to fish.

Survivors include his son, Johnny Von Hocutt of Medicine Park, Oklahoma; his daughter, Twyla Niehaus and her husband, John, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a grandson, Kenny Wayne Brewster and his wife, Amber, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, three brothers, Don, Freddy and Billy Hocutt, and a sister, Rosie Warner.
