Funeral service for Louie C. Boice, 93 of Lawton will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2008 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Fletcher, officiating.

Mr. Boice died on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in Lawton.

Burial will be at Flower Mound Cemetery.

There will be a special viewing and visitation for family and friends on Sunday, December 28, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Louie was born on March 2, 1915 in Love County, Oklahoma to Roe Hiram and Minnie Bell (Byrd) Boice. He grew up in the Lawton area and worked as a carpenter. He married Lois Harrison on October 8, 1939 in Lawton and worked as a carpet layer and also in the ship yards during WWII. The family moved to San Leandro, California where Mr. Boice was instrumental in helping build the Bible Missionary Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for many years. They returned to Lawton in 1993.

He is survived by his wife, Lois of the home; his son, Dennis Boice, of Grants Pass, Oregon; three daughters, Delores Rivenburg, of the home, Retha Lunsford, of Lawton, and Penny Tsoodle, and her husband, John, of Mountain View, Oklahoma; one sister, Eunice Harrison, of Lawton; six grandchildren, Ricky Hervey, Timothy Lunsford, Gerald Lunsford, Steven Hervey, Brenda Boice, and Laurie Krull; seven great grandchildren, Levi Hervey, Tyler Hervey, Britney Hervey, Ashley Boice, Mathew Krull, Dillon Boice, and Craig Krull; one great great granddaughter, Alexandria; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and nine brothers and sisters, Meral, Hiram, Bill, Pete, Dow, Mattie, Alice, Red, and Floyd.
