Graveside service for Travis M. Baker, 71, of Lawton will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Burkhardt Chapel at Frederick Memorial Chapel, Frederick, Oklahoma with Willis Davis of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lawton, Oklahoma officiating.

Ms. Baker died on April 29th, 2009 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Travis Mae Frances (Sampson) Baker was born on March 29, 1938 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Ida Marie and John Henry Sampson. She was raised in Frederick by her mother and stepfather, George Wagner. She was a home health care provider and did numerous odd jobs, such as ironing, sewing, and babysitting.

She is survived by her companion, Willie Reed, of the home; her step-father, George Wagner of Frederick, OK; her children, Lorraine Baker, of Frederick, OK, Carl Baker Jr., of Dallas, TX, Elnora Burgess, of Lawton, OK, Jerry Nelson, of Lawton, OK, Alfred Baker and his wife, Pamela, of Lawton, OK; her sisters, Katy Moses and her husband, Phillip, of Arizona, and Stacy Steele, of Lawton, OK; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Mary Ellen Jackson; two sons, Calvin and Bobby Baker; a grandson, Glen Baker, and a great grandson, Alfred Major Jr.
