Charlotte G. Ballas
     Word has been received of the death of Charlotte Ballas, 92, of Lawton.
     Mrs. Ballas died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
     Charlotte was born on February 4, 1914 in Brooklyn, New York to Franklin P. and Rose Clark Beers. She lived in New York City for many years where she was employed at the Astor Hotel and worked as a phone operator. She moved to Lawton and worked at Comanche County Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper until her retirement. She later worked in the lobby of McDonald’s in Central Mall. Mrs. Ballas loved to bowl, knit, and work puzzles.
     She is survived by her son, Frank Nolan, of Warwick, Rhode Island; and her grandson, John O’Hanlan, of Long Island, New York.
     She is preceded in death by her daughter Rose Nolan, and one son, Jerry Nolan.
