Memorial service for Arnold E. "Gene" Belcher, Jr. 56, of Walters, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008, at the Calvary Assembly Church of God with Rev. Roger Nolan and Rev. Byron Elmore, officiating.     

Mr. Belcher died on Sunday, February 17, 2008, in Lawton.

Service is under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home

He was born on October 3, 1951, in Lawton to Arnold E., Sr., and Lena M. (Hunter) Belcher. He traveled with his family during his father’s military career returning to Lawton in August of 1970. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and was a member of the Open Doors Church of God in Walters.

He is survived by his parents of Walters; two sisters, Debbie Wiese and her husband, Ed, of Cache, Oklahoma, and Teresa Stiokoff and her husband, Wayne, of Geronimo, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Cannon of Tampa, Florida, Misty and Justin Wright of Stratford, Oklahoma, Shawna and Jeremy Wright of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Brandy and Sam Kaulaity of Ripley, Oklahoma; great nieces and nephews, Sammy, Bryce, Kyla, Tristen, Kaylin, Cassie, Katie, Grace and Faith; three aunts, Juanita Jefford and her husband, Ted, of Manteno, Illinois, Thelma Hahn and her husband, Rudy, of Dixon, Illinois, and Inez Weightman of Altus, Oklahoma; special caregiver, Anita Green and her son, James Reynolds of Walters, Oklahoma; and a host of cousins and other family.
