Funeral service for Derrell G. Andrus, 77 of Lawton will be at 2;00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Lawton Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles King, pastor officiating.

Mr. Andrus died on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Mr. Andrus was born on July 10, 1931 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to Seldon Eugene and Anna Marie (Hall) Andrus. He moved with his family to Lawton when he was six years old, where he attended school, graduating from Lawton High School in 1950. He attended Cameron University for one year and then attended the School of Pharmacy in Weatherford, Oklahoma, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in 1954. He married Anne Jones on August 20, 1953 in Lawton. He served in the United States Army from 1957 until 1959. He then began work for Veazy Drug Store in Oklahoma City and then returned to Lawton where he worked for Bill Williams at Earl Drug Store before owning and operating Earl Drug Store South at 6th and Lee from 1963 until 1999 when he sold the store. He currently worked for Lyons Drug Store in Walters, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife, Anne, of the home; his son and daughter in law, Shawn Evan and Jamie Faye Andrus, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his sister and brother in law, Phyllis and Richard Robling, of Pueblo, Colorado; five grandchildren, Patrick Andrus, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Bryan Andrus and his wife, Caitlin, of Savannah, Georgia, Seth Andrus, of Lawton, Zach Andrus, of Oklahoma City, and Lauren AnneMarie Andrus, of Lawton; his daughter in law, Lisa Andrus, of Lawton; his brothers in law and sisters in law, Judy and Lynn Small, of Houston, Texas, and Hank and Velta Jones, of Elk City, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Guy Brian Andrus who died on April 23, 2007.
