Funeral for Audrey P. Best, 91, of Lawton, OK will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 29, 2008, at the Liberty Heights Christian Church with Rev. Chuck Pettigrew, minister, officiating.

Mrs. Best died on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at a local hospital.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

She was born on January 30, 1917, in Clarendon, Texas, to Felix and Lela (Melton) Murphee. She married Ernest Ray Best on April 14, 1935. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1987. She worked for Midwest Furniture and Raulston’s Furniture. She was a charter member of the Liberty Heights Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Rae Ann McDonald of Lawton, OK; two sons, Ronald Paul Best of Amarillo, Texas, and Wesley P. Best of Lawton, OK; a brother, Robert J. Hill and his wife, Brenda, of Mechanicsville, PA; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, George, her husband, a great grandson, and a daughter-in-law, Betty Best.
