Funeral service for H. Ray Anderson, 65, of Lawton will be at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, December 21, 2007 at First Baptist East with Rev. Doug Passmore officiating.
     H. Ray died on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 in Lawton.
     Burial will be at Walters Cemetery under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
There will be a special viewing and visitation for family and friends on Thursday, December 20, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
     H. Ray Anderson was born on June 12, 1942 in Duke, Oklahoma, to Garland and Rhoda (Norwood) Anderson. He grew up in Walters, Oklahoma and graduated from Walters High School in 1960. He came to Lawton in 1960 and attended Cameron College majoring in Drafting. He owned and operated The Dive Shop where he taught scuba diving for 28 years. He also owned and operated Coors Recycling Center for 22 years. In 1974, he began working for the Comanche County Sheriff’s Department as a jailer/deputy and then became the Chief Criminal Investigator in the DA’s Office in 1979, retiring in 1987. He was self employed as a private investigator and a leather crafter. He married Jodi Banka on March 14, 2002 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He and Jodi shared Anderson Private Investigations and Full House Cattle Company Saddle Shop. H. Ray was a member of the Lawton Rangers since 1991 and helped start the Battered Women’s Shelter and served on the Board of Directors for 10 years. H. Ray was also a member of First Baptist East.
     He is survived by his wife, Jodi, of the home; his son and daughter in law, H. Ray Jr. and Tina Anderson, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two daughters and a son in law, Brandi and James Biesiadecki, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Whitney Anderson, of Texas City, Texas; his stepson, Tom Cox, of Lawton; and two stepdaughters, Stephanie Cox and Tiffany Cox, both of Lawton; his brother and sister in law Mark and Becky Anderson, of Walters, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Jeshua Anderson, Ariel Anderson, Cassie Anderson and Michaela Anderson, all of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Ansley Biesiadecki, Chandler Biesiadecki, Carly Biesiadecki, and Warren Biesiadecki, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Skylar Anderson, of Texas City, Texas; a nephew and his wife, Jason and Dana Anderson, of Elgin, Oklahoma; and a niece, Kailee Anderson, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Rhoda Anderson.
