Sarah Lucile Addison Thompson

Sarah "Lucile" Addison Thompson was born January 8, 1915. She went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2010 in Marlow, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years, 6 months, and 9 days.

Memorial service will be held at Marlow Manor Nursing Home, Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 2:30 p.m.

Interment will be at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Mena, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

S. Lucile was born in Mena, Arkansas, to Warren and Nora Addison. Lucile met and married Robert "Bob" Thompson in 1932. She was a retired shoe department manager for Wal-Mart stores in Chickasha, Anadarko, and Marlow. Lucile clerked at Reynold's Grocery in Marlow for years before joining Wal-Mart. She enjoyed working in the public. She was active in the V.F.W. serving as a veteran's case officer for years. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, being a homemaker and working in her yard.
     
She is survived by a son, Warren A. Thompson and wife, Karen of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Mura "Bette" Dirickson and husband, Ted; and Linda K. Apple and husband, Ken, all of Marlow, Oklahoma and a daughter-in-law, Eloise Thompson of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Herbert "Heck" Addison of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Joann Patrick of Okmulgee, and Barbara Lyda of Claremore and six grandchildren Robert Thompson of Florida; Dirk Thompson of Arkansas; Jason Apple of Arkansas; Teddi Cuccio and Ashley Hough, both of Edmond; and Eloise "Ellie K." Miller of Georgia; 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Chris Addison and Jack Addison and one grandchild, Triva Louise Thompson.
