Graveside memorial service for Richard Andrakowicz, 63, of Lawton, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Richard died Friday, July 16th, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Richard was born February 18th, 1947 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He graduated from Union High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and served a tour in Grafenvwohr, Germany. After his military service, he served an additional five years in the Michigan National Guard. He was also a finish carpenter for many years and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed music and NASCAR auto racing. His favorite activity was spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Riley. He was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He is survived by his son and a daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kimberly Andrakowicz of Lawton, Oklahoma; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Nick Brown of Savannah, Georgia, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Walt and Alice Andrakowicz and Stan and Debbie Andrakowicz of Sebawang, Michigan; two sister in laws, Marilynn Andrakowicz of Byron Center, Michigan and Marge Andrakowicz of Kentwood, Michigan; three grandsons, Nicky Brown of Savannah, Georgia, and Kage and Kohle Andrakowicz of Lawton, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roman and Anna Andrakowicz; two brothers, Carl and Chuck Andrakowicz and a sister, Fran Borr.
