Funeral service for CW2 (Ret.) Woodfin D. Blair, 68, of Lawton, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2008, at the Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Antwine, officiating.

Mr. Blair died on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at his home.

Burial with full military honors and Masonic services will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery.

He was born on March 21, 1940, in Cullman County, Alabama, to Price Martin and Nora Euell (Persall) Blair. He grew up there and attended Battle Ground School and West Point School, he later received his GED while in Hawaii. He joined the US Army in Fort Jackson, South Carolina and received the following awards during his service: Good Conduct Medal, Service Ribbon, Over-Seas Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Ribbon, AAM, ARCOM, Korean Service Medal Presidential Unit Citation, German Rifle Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Driver & Mechanic Badge. He retired on October 1, 1984, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, after 24 years of service. He married Roseline Emma Poepoe on November 6, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was raised to the subline degree of Master Mason on August 29, 1974, Past Master of Lawton Lodge 183, 1987 and 1993; Past Master of the Triangle Lodge 548, 1997; Scottish Rite 32nd. Degree and York Rite Mason. He was a member of the Latter Day Saints.

He is survived by his wife, Roseline Emma Blair of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Woodfin D. Blair, Jr. and Sabina, of Lawton, Oklahoma; two daughters and sons-in-law, Valee Nalani and Mark Yepez of Chino, California, Tanya Haunani and Jerry Biscaino of Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Roman Blair, Camron Blair, Katie A. Yepez, Mark Vincent Yepez, Jr., Maxx Woodfin Yepez, Valerie Noelani Yepez, Kaimi K. Biscaino, and Kanoa K. Biscaino; a great grandson, Aydan Blair; a sister, Virginia Stormy Margot of San Marcos, California; two nephews and their wives, Blair and Margo Margot of Richmond, Texas, and Michael and Tracy Margot of San Marcos, California; great nephews and nieces, Matthew, Katie, Kylie, Shean, Ian, Dmitri, and Hartini.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Price Martin and Nora Euell Persall Blair, and a brother, William Edward "Billy Joe" Blair.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
