Edith Susie Beckham, 86, of Devol, Oklahoma, died Sunday, February 10, 2008, in Temple, Oklahoma.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2008, at the First Baptist Church, Devol, Oklahoma, with Rev. Bobby Waitman, pastor, officiating.

Services are under the direction Gray Funeral Home, Grandfield, Oklahoma. Interment will be in San Gorgonio Memorial Park Cemetery, Banning, California, under the direction of Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California.

She was born December 22, 1921, in Devol, Oklahoma, to Gottfried and Sophia Krause Miller. She attended Rocky Ford Grade School and graduated from Devol High School. She attended Central State College graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in education in 1942. She married Euel Beckham on July 11, 1948, in California. Edith taught P. E. in California for several years before becoming the bookkeeper for Beckham Brothers Ready Mix Concrete Company. In 1993, she moved back to Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and knitting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Devol.

Survivors include one son Fred Beckham of Beaumont, CA; five grandchildren, Michelle Beckham; Kenneth Beckham; Sarah Kemper; David Kemper; JoAnna Kemper, three great grandchildren, Donald Beckham; Wesley Beckham; Anna Beckham, one sister, Hilda Eubanks of Banning, CA.nieces and nephews, Betty Mathis; Mark Miller; Charla Parker; Jonetta Hinkle; Verda Smith; Donna Ferris; Kay Davis; and Tod Todd.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Euel, in 1989. One daughter, Phyllis Kemper and four brothers, Frank, Fred, Willie and Amiel. Miller.
