Funeral service for Elaine Cross, 52 of Lawton, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home with Dennis Dawson, pastor First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be at Pecan Cemetery.
Mrs. Cross passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
A special viewing and visitation will be held at the funeral home for family and friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m.
Elaine was born on September 13, 1961 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Ernest and Ann (Miller) Woodruff. She grew up in Lawton where she attended local schools. Elaine later attended the Great Plains Area Vo-Tech where she received her CMA and CNA. Elaine worked as a CMA and CNA at several care centers in Lawton. She married Mark Lewis Cross on September 14, 1994 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Elaine loved God and the AA 12 Step Program where she was a member and sober since 1992.
She also enjoyed gardening and love animals.
She is survived by her sisters, Amy Woodruff, and Lisa Gradine; brother, Ernest M. Woodruff and his fiancee, Jeannie Wyrick; brother in law, Edward Stone; nieces and nephews, Krystle Stone, Brittany Stone, Ernest Stone, and Virgil Dumas; and great niece, Vice Hileman, and her cat, Tiger, all of Lawton, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Cross was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mark Cross, two sisters, Teresa Stone, and Juanita Woodruff, and uncle, Roy Miller.
Burial will be at Pecan Cemetery.
