Memorial service for Sharon Kay Harned, 60, of Medford, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Jay Driskill officiating.
Sharon passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 in Enid.
Sharon was born on February 7, 1954 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Jerry B. and Juanita (Lopez) Christian. She grew up in Midwest City and attended Jarman Junior High School. After graduating from Midwest City High School, she then attended Rose State College. She married Joe Charles Schantz and later married Michael Lynn Harned. Sharon worked outside the home until her children were born when she lovingly cared for them. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Midwest City. Sharon enjoyed tennis and loved music with Patsy Cline being one of her favorites. She also liked candy and desserts. Her mother always brought Sharon her homemade peanut brittle on visits. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her mother, Juanita Christian, of Bethany, Oklahoma; two sons and daughters in law, Phillip and Jennifer Schantz, of Moore, Oklahoma and Timothy and Mary Schantz, of Midwest City, Oklahoma; her brother and sister in law, Danny and Debbie Christian, of Bethany; three grandchildren, Shelby Schantz, Jaden Schantz, and Bradley Schantz; one nephew, Joshua Christian; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry B. Christian and her daughter, Amanda Harned.
