Althea Lynn McClellan was born July 2nd, 1959 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Albert W. McClellan and Flora (Williams) McClellan. Althea was the eldest of the three girls. As a youth, she was baptized under the leadership of Greater Galilee Baptist Church. Althea later became a member of Church of the Living God (C.W.F.F) Temple #219 under the late Bishop E.L. Bowie for more than 30 years until his passing. She later moved her membership to Church of the Living God (C.W.F.F.) Temple #144 under the leadership of Elder Gernardo G. Tatum. Soon after Temple #144 was relocated, Althea became a chartered member of Church of the Living God (C.W.F.F.) Temple #400 where she attended until her passing. Shortly afterwards, she was ordained as a missionary and did just what she was appointed to do inside and outside of church. Althea graduated from Lawton Senior High School in 1978 (Lawton, Oklahoma). She furthered her career as a nurse’s aide for more than 36 years and also as a home health provider. She had a passion and a gift to take care of the ill and the wounded. Althea was married to Eddie D. Roberson for almost 17 years by the time of her passing. She loved to speak about the Lord and minister as well as prophesize to people she came across. Because of her gifts, she never considered anyone a stranger she talked to. Through Althea’s sickness, she always attended her church faithfully. She loved all her children dearly and would do any and everything for them. She was a God-fearing woman with a kind heart but was known for keeping it real at the same time.
