Bishop Thomas Daniels, Jr

Memorial service for SFC (ret) Bishop Thomas Daniels, Jr., 76 of Lawton will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at The Lawton Christian Center with Pastor Paul Craig officiating.

Mr. Daniels passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.  

Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 and Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Bishop was born on February 28, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to Bishop Thomas Daniels, Sr. and Mary E. (Kelley) Daniels. After high school, he joined the United States Army and served his country for 21 years receiving many awards and medals including the Parachutist Badge with Overseas Bars, Jump Wings Driver Badge, Act Medal-1st Class, National Defense Service Medal, M-16 Rifle Expert Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Bishop lived for many years in Germany and later moved to Lawton. He was a member of the Lawton Christian Center.   

He is preceded in death by his parents.
