Christopher Eugene McConnell

Graveside service for Christopher Eugene McConnell, 39, of Lawton will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. David McCracken, of New Life Assembly of God, Cache, Oklahoma officiating. 

Christopher passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at his home in Lawton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Chris was born on July 21, 1977 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Mac and Lou (Worthington) McConnell. He grew up in Lawton where he attended school, graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1995. He then attended Cameron University. Chris worked with his dad for over 20 years in the pest control business. He was a laid back guy who enjoyed on-line poker, playing the guitar and fishing. His favorite TV show was "American Pickers" and he also enjoyed traveling to see his favorite band, "Phish". 

He is survived by his father, Mac McConnell, of Lawton; his mother, Lou McConnell, of Lawton; his brother, Brandon McConnell, of Lawton; his maternal grandmother, Lucija Worthington; his nieces, Caitlynn McConnell-Smith and Aliya Tohee; aunts and uncles, Rita Worthington, Lawton, OK, Jimmy L. McConnell, Lawton, OK, Jackie and Jimmy Camp, Sterling, OK, and Regina and John Plotnik, Sherman, TX; his cousins, Candace Morris and husband, Brian, John Gethoefer, Jim Camp and wife, Stacy, Jarrod Camp, Chad McConnell, and Nick McConnell and wife, Candace; and a host of friends.          

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gene McConnell and Sylvia Adams McConnell; and his maternal grandfather, Hall Worthington.
