Colleen Patricia Oehler-Johnsen

Funeral service for Colleen P. Oehler-Johnsen, 52 of Lawton, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Passmore officiating. 

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma.  

Mrs. Johnsen passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 in Lawton, OK.

Colleen was born at Reynolds Army Hospital at Fort Sill, Oklahoma on September 16, 1967 to Jack and Elizabeth Oehler.  She attended school in Lawton, OK, graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1985.  She then attended travel school and worked for Carlson Wagonlit/S.A.T.O. Travel Services for 31 years. She worked side by side for all of her married life with the love of her life, Phillip whom she married on October 3, 1992 in Lawton.  Colleen had a life long love of ballet dancing.  She danced with the Lawton City Ballet.  While with the LCB, she studied under Margret Grey and Caroline Von Rossum-Dublinsky. If she wasn't at work or dancing, she could be found in the kitchen cooking.  Colleen could be considered a amateur chef and loved creating new dishes for her family.  She and Phillip are both music aficionado and spent many hours listening to music.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Johnsen of the home; her stepdaughters, Deleana Allen and her husband, Kyle of Barnsdall, OK, Nichole Johnsen of Lawton, OK and Mellissa Johnsen of Lawton, OK; five stepgrandchildren, Shiann Taylor of Barnsdall, OK, Trey Taylor of Barnsdall, OK, James Hogg, Matthew Hogg, and Olivia Johnsen all of Lawton, OK; sisters, Helen Rollins and her husband, Dave of Lawton, OK, Maureen DuRant and her husband, B.D. of Medicine Park, OK, Mary Oehler of Lawton, OK and Jacqueline Oehler of Iowa Park, TX.  She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bill Oehler; and her sister, Beth Pate.
