Erma Iola Porter

Erma Porter, 93, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, June 21st, 2017.

A Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday June 26th, 2017 in the Arlington Memory Gardens Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Savelle officiating. 

Erma was born on March 23rd, 1924 in Dublin, Arkansas to Harvey and Mae ( Henderson) Snow. She married the love of her life Reaford"Bud" Porter on November 4, 1940 in Henryetta, Oklahoma and enjoyed many years with him until his passing on November 26, 1995.  Erma loved spending time with her Grandchildren.  Often In the summers, she would load the Grandkids up in her station wagon and head to the lake.  While driving to the lake she would turn the radio up loud while listening to Johnny Cash, George Straight, and the Gaither Brothers.  When not on one of her lake adventures; she could be found working on puzzles.

She is survived by her daughters: Darrelene "Dee" Solomon of Tulsa, OK; Alene " Lee" Torres and her husband Manuel "Z" of Lawton, OK; Brenda Boucher of Marlow, OK and Jewel Fay " Judy" Worden of Lawton.  Her Daughters in law:  Brenda K. Porter of Tulsa and Carla Porter of Kenya, Africa.  Her Sister, Arvella Snow- McCroskey of Henryetta, OK.; several grandchildren, and great grandchildren 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her step father, George Walker; Two sons: Freddie Wade Porter and Donald Wayne Porter.  Her brother; Daryl Snow.  Her Sisters: Attie Snow- Savelle, Blanche Snow-packwood, and Shirley Snow-Thiry.
