Gloria Jean Jones

Graveside service for Gloria Jean Jones, 74, of Lee's Summit, Missouri will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Sterling Cemetery with Rev. Gary Pratt, associate pastor of Lawton First Assembly officiating. 

Gloria passed away on Sunday August 27, 2017 in Roswell, New Mexico.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.  

Gloria was born on April 28, 1943 in Garfield, New Mexico to Carlos and Lucinda Valdez.  She met her husband Carl in Texas. They married on July 2nd, 1977 in Dallas, TX.  They moved to Lawton where Gloria worked for many years at the Lawton Teacher's Federal Credit Union. In her leisure time, she enjoyed her dogs and decorating.  

She is survived by her daughters and son in laws, Brenda and Tim Morin of Lee's Summit, MO, Teena and Chris French, Marlys and Allen Smith, Sherry and Sky Hill, all of Lawton, OK; her brothers, Danny Valdez of Las Cruces, NM and Eloy Valdez of Truth or Consequences, NM; her sisters, Alicia Gross of Independence, MO, Sally Etter and Mary George both of Roswell, NM; her grandchildren, Steven Lee and his wife, Josie, Lauren Williams, and her husband, Mark, Corey French, Brandon French, Christeena French, Kaylyn Smith, Ashton Hill and Gracee Hill; her Great Grandchildren, Daylia Williams, Drew Williams, and Cayden Lee.  She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Sophie Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; and her son, Eddie Nunez.
