Laquetta J Caldwell

Funeral service for Laquetta J. Caldwell, 81 of Lawton will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Ellis officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. 

Ms. Caldwell passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 in Lawton, Oklahoma. 

There will be a special viewing and visitation for family and friends on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Laquetta was born on April 4, 1936 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Oscar and Ethel (Grooms) Jett. She grew up in Lawton where she attended school. She married Joe Caldwell in Walters, Oklahoma and they made Lawton their home for more than 50 years before Joe passed away on August 3, 2007. Laquetta was a homemaker.  

She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Tidwell, of Cache, OK; her son and daughter in law, Steve and Connie Caldwell, of Lawton, OK; her brother, Raymond Jett, of Geronimo, OK; her sister in law, Eva Buckaloo, of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren and spouses, Kathy and Greg Ellis, Ronnie Willmon, Cory and Ericka Caldwell, Amber Sauls, Candice Caldwell, and Lori Willmon; 10 great grandchildren, Courtney Ellis, Megan Ellis, Neil Willmon, Katelynn Willmon, Bailey Wade, Lexi Wade, Malareece Caldwell, Taleah Fisher, Trevon Fisher, Teyisha Fisher; three great great grandchildren, Cali McVicker, Gage Jones, Joshua Sabo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Caldwell; her great grandson, Christopher Willmon; brothers, Hubert Jett and Chester Jett; and her sisters, Lucille Romines and Ida Lee Mooneyham.
