Funeral Service for Charles (Chuck) Frederick Mason, 85, of Geronimo, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Antioch Baptist Church, 10306 SW 67th Street (67th Street and Hwy 36), Lawton, OK with Rev. Vivian Garza officiating. 
 
Mr. Mason passed away on March 23, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 
 
Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
 
A special viewing and visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the funeral home. 
 
Charles was born on December 24, 1938 in Holden, West Virginia to Andrew and Ruby (Bentley) Mason. He grew up and attended school in Huntington, West Virginia. After high school, Mr. Mason joined the United States Army. Chuck married Dottie Sullivan, the love of his life, on May 15, 1962 in Fort Benning, Georgia and their union was blessed with four children. They were married 61 years.  Charles retired from the Army in 1977 after serving 24 years of dedicated service with two tours of duty in Germany, one in Korea, and one in Vietnam. He enjoyed trains and founded the Lawton Model Railroad Association. Charles purchased and restored the Eagle Park train in 1992 and loved to take his grandchildren on train rides around his property. Mr. Mason received three bachelor degrees and a Masters of Business Administration degree. He was also a 32nd degree Master Mason and a great woodworker, building cedar chests for his granddaughters. 
 
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Mason; his sons and a daughter in law, Robert "Rusty" and Kimberly Mason and Michael and Jackie Mason; his daughter and son in law,  Melanie and Kenny Nordeen; his grandchildren, whom he adored, Jennifer, Justin, Julia, Victoria, Elizabeth, Christopher, Stephanie, Kaydee, Jordyn, Joshua, Amber, Ashley, Jacob, and Alexis; his great grandchildren, Ruby, Oliver, Lucy, Noah, Caleb, Paisley, Peyton, and Charli; and his sister, Betty Duncan.   
 
Mr. Mason is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Melinda; and his brother, Jack Mason.
