Funeral services for Manfred W. Weber, 78 of Lawton, will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, August 14, 2017 in the Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel.  Fr. Roy Narisetti and Deacon Bob Quinnett of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church will officiate. 

Burial will be at 1 P.M. at Fort Sill National Cemetery with full Military Honors.

Manfred was born on May 7, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY to Willy and Maria Weber.  He grew up in New York and attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School. Manfred was an accomplished pianist and was known to play at Carnegie hall.

In 1958 he joined the United States Army.  He served honorably for more than 30 years.  While he served in the Army he would go back and forth from being stationed in the United States and Larson Barracks in Kitzingen, Germany.  For his service, Manfred received many awards and medals including: the Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Service Medal, and Bronze Star Medal.  

While attending a wedding reception in Germany; he met his future wife.  On May 7th, 1960 in Hanau Germany, Manfred married his beloved Eleonore.  After retiring from the Army; Manfred continued to live in Germany with his wife.  He worked for many years as a contractor with Raytheon.  In his leisure time he enjoyed dressing up as St. Nicholas to entertain children during the advent season. Eleonore passed away in 2014; in October of 2016 Manfred moved to Lawton, Oklahoma.

Manfred is survived by his son, Thomas Weber of Lawton, OK.  His daughters: Maria and her husband Mark Christian of Waukee, IA, and Karen Hoffmann of Lubbock, TX.  His Grandchildren: Nicole Hoffmann of Lubbock, TX, Elena and her husband Josh Dissen of St. Louis, MO, Sarah Christian of Clear Lake, IA and Catherine Christian of Waukee, IA. He also has two great granddaughters: Rilee and Kelli.

He was preceded in death by his wife Eleonore, his parents, his son Steven Weber and his brother Kurt Weber.
