Funeral service for Mary Lee Jones, 72 of Lawton will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at First Baptist East with Rev. Doug Passmore officiating. 

Ms. Jones passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 in Lawton. 

A private family burial will be held. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

There will be a special viewing and visitation for family and friends on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  

Mary was born on May 4, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland to LeRoy and Darlene Maryalice (Wells) Botkin. The family moved to Lawton when Mary was 4 years old. She married Jerry Darwin Jones on August 8, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas and to that union three children were born. She and Jerry owned and operated Cache Road Ice Dock for several years and later Mary worked for a while at Ez Go and later was a jailor for Comanche County. She then joined the law enforcement reserves. In 1988, she began working at the Job Corps. While working for the Job Corps, Mary was instrumental in bringing women to a once only men center. She retired in 2000 as the Dormitory Supervisor among many other jobs in the Job Corp. She moved to Juneau, Alaska for 6 years, returning to Lawton in 2007. Mary was a member of First Baptist East where she was in the choir. She was a faithful member of the apartment community Farkle Club and was known for not taking any phone calls while the game was in session.

She is survived by two daughters and  a son in law, Mary Ann Jones and Bruce Enriquez, of Elgin, OK and Jody Hardesty, of New Mexico; her sister and brother in law, Sue and Sandy Oliphant, of Juneau, Alaska; four grandchildren, Jerry Lee Jones and wife, Amanda, Tyler Dean Jones, Stormy Leeann Enriquez and partner, Josh Mayfield, and Shadow Nashoba Enriquez and Partner, Makayla Lutonsky; one great grandchild, Karizma Keli Jones; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved furbaby, Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Doug Jones; her brother, James Botkin; and her lifelong friend, Bea Lynn George.
