Memorial service for Pamela Mindemann, 67, of Cache, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Cache High School Auditorium, Cache, Oklahoma.

Ms. Mindemann passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Cache, Oklahoma. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. 

Pamela was born on October 31, 1949, in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Roland and Janis (Harris) Mindemann. She grew up in Apache where she attended school, graduating in 1967. All through school, she played basketball and received many awards and honors including All-State honors as a forward averaging 27 points. She was a member of the USA team that finished seventh in the world championships in Brazil in 1971 and played in the National Girls AAU Basketball League. She received MVP honors in 1972 and 1973. In the early 70's, she was a four-time All American for the Raytown, Missouri Piperettes in the Woman's AAU League. In 1972, she was named outstanding woman basketball player in the Missouri Valley Conference. She also played basketball for Oral Roberts University from 1977 to 1980 where she was a member of the all-tournament teams in 1978 and 1979. She completed her Bachelor of Health and Physical Education degree at East Central of Ada. She compiles a 45-42 record in her four years at Apache. She taught at Apache High School from 1983 until 1988 and Bishop McGuinness High School from 1988 until 2004. She later taught at Fletcher High School from 2004 until 2010. She was currently a teacher at Lawton High School where she had been for the last seven years. Ms. Mindemann was a teacher that students admired and went to for advice  and direction. Pamela was the aunt that all the nieces and nephews adored and looked up to. She raised not only them but their children and children's children.  She will be missed by her family, friends, and her students, past and present.   

She is survived by her sister and brother in law, Jan and Tyson Morgan, of Cache, OK; brothers, Greg Mindemann, of Blanchard, OK and Steve Mindemann; her beloved niece and nephews, and spouses, Micah Mindemann, Cara Mindemann, Charley Morgan, Clay and Jenny Mindemann, Blake and Cynthia Mindemann,  and Chase and Stacee Morgan; great nieces and nephews, Chad Wollenberg, Logan Lee, Brooklyn Corr, Tyler Suhr, Tucker Mindemann, Brodie Mindemann, Kinlee Mindemann, Tate Mindemann, Rylee Morgan, Kimber Morgan, and Barrett Morgan; great great niece and two nephews, Gracelyn Black, Reid Wollenberg, and Deacon Wollenberg. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Janis Mindemann.
