Having moved away from Lawton, I did not know until now that this sweet and gentle spirit no longer walked among us.
What a loss for all of us. His contributions were many , his loss will not soon fade from our hearts.

I will always remember Raymond visiting the CCMH engineering team and Brazzel for morning break, with a smile and a story. He will be missed dearly. Deepest condolences Brazzel. Tom.

You will be greatly missed Raymond. I can remember the time that someone took your bike from the Church parking lot and someone was kind enough to replace your bike, but this new bike didn't have a bell so I went out to get you a bell and all I could find was a siren with several different sounds to it. Your friend Gary Rainey and I put that siren on your new bike. You were so happy to have that siren you drove your bike all the down the road and into the county parking garage with the sirens blaring. Your are our forever friend.

To Raymond's friends;
I extend my condolence to you, and leave some comforting bible verses. One is found at Revelation chap 21 verse 4-5. There we are assured that one day all sickness, death and pain will be eliminated. Another is found at Revelation chap 20 verse 13 where we have our Creators promise "many of the dead will be resurrected. So while you'll miss Ray, remember Almighty Gods promise. And pray for Gods Kingdom to Come.

Over the last several months, I have had several men, important in my life, pass away. When I learned of the death of Raymond, I openly wept, something no one else's passing caused. Though they were stinging tears of loss; I also had a huge smile on my face at the memory of a man I considered to be the kindest, most gentle soul I have ever had the pleasure to know. Raymond helped me broadcast many an Altus vs. Lawton High/Ike or Mac football or basketball game. Rest well Raymond; and thank you for the positive impact and perspective you have had on my life. Michael Barnes, Altus.
