Funeral service for Sharon A. Martinez, 63, of Marlow, Oklahoma, will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Robert Quinnett Officiating.

Viewing will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, December 16th, 2017 at

8 a.m.

There will be a special visitation in the funeral home chapel from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017. At 7 p.m., there will be a Vigil for the deceased with a Rosary.

Mrs. Martinez passed away in Duncan, Oklahoma on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.

Sharon Ann Martinez was born on August 26, 1954, in Lynn, Massachusetts to Joseph and Patricia Richards. Sharon’s father was in the Army and she lived in or around numerous military bases while growing up. Her family also lived in Germany two times. The family eventually settled in the Lawton area after her father retired from the Army.

Sharon loved to spend as much time as possible with her family. Her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren meant the world to her. Before she became ill, she enjoyed listening to country music, two step dancing, cooking, drawing, and collecting ceramic elephants.

She is survived by her husband, Rogelio, of the home. her son, Ryan Martinez of Duncan,OK; four daughters, Joanell Specht, of Lawton, OK, Natalie Stolz and her spouse, Frank, of Lawton, OK, Christina Specht and her significant other, Andrew Paris of Apache, OK, and Kathryn Martinez and her fiancé, Tyler Linthicum of Walters, OK; four brothers and their wives: Paul and Mary Richards of Lawton, OK, Larry and Melissa Richards of Cache, OK, Scott and Bridgette Richards of Elgin, OK and Jeff Richards and his spouse, Carlos Gonzalez of New Jersey; three sisters; Lianne Sanchez of Walters, OK, Pat Bouwman and her husband, Ed of Blanchard, OK and Beverly Sinning of Lawton, OK; five grandchildren, Kayla Specht of Lawton, OK, Sydnee Stolz of Wichita Falls, TX, Kole Petering of Lawton, OK, and Blakely and T.J. Linthicum both of Walters; two great grandchildren: Kasen Thomason and Khloe Keplinger, both to Lawton, OK. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother in law, Angel Sanchez.

In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis fund.
