Texie Lee Donatucci

Graveside services for Texie Lee Donatucci, age 80, of Lawton, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2017, at Highland Cemetery. 

Mrs. Donatucci died February 7, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she had resided for many years.  

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Texie was born January 1, 1938 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Reece C. “Tex” Higdon and Mary Lee Goodwin Higdon.  She attended Lawton schools, graduating from Lawton High School in 1956 and attended Cameron State Agricultural College for two years.

Texie married Lt. Francis J. “Frank” Donatucci January 19, 1963, at Blessed Sacrament Church.  She was a homemaker and accompanied her husband to Germany, Fort Knox, Kentucky, and back to Lawton.  She worked 14 years at the Fort Sill PX for S & K Sales Company as a merchandising vendor.

Texie and her husband retired and, together, they opened a picture framing shop known as Tucci Art.  Mrs. Donatucci is survived by four grandchildren: Tyler Katherine Donatucci, Norman; Paul Michael Donatucci, II and John Vincent Donatucci, both of Tulsa (and their mother, Crissy Donatucci); and Dominic Donatucci. Texie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank, who died in 2009, her son, Franc, who died in 2015, and her son, Paul, who died in 2012.
