Walter "Jake" Maharry

Graveside service for Walter "Jake" Maharry Jr., 68 of Lawton, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on December 26, 2017 at the Cache Cemetery, Chaplain Roger Snow will officiate. 

Mr. Maharry passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.

Viewing will be at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel.

Walter was born on November 14, 1949 in Lawton to Walter and Dorothy (Adams) Maharry. He grew up in Lawton and loved watching Western shows on T.V. Walter was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed spending his weekends at the  Lawton Speedway. 

He is survived by his sister, Shelly Yarbrough and her husband Charles, of Lawton; his niece, Sam Looney and her husband John, of Lawton; his nephew, David Yarbrough and his wife Jacqueline, of Indiahoma.  He leaves behind numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, along with many aunts, uncles, and other family members.
