December 18, 1947 ~ November 24, 2021 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Tribute

Albert John “Al” Dvorsack of Maple Heights, Ohio passed away on the 24th of November 2021 near Dover, Arkansas where lived for the last many years of his life. He is greatly adored and deeply missed by his Arkansas friends,  life-long friends in Ohio and all over the US, plus folks he knew for 30 plus years in Lawton, Oklahoma where he was for a long time the tireless director of Roadback Inc. The impact he had on the lives of the people he touch is profound. Many people credit Al when they say they are who they are today in their respective families, workplace, and community because Al believed in them and gave them a chance to change and recover. His legacy is selfless service. He was a quiet man with a big heart and a heart for serving his fellow man. Al served in the Navy during Vietnam from 1966 to 1970 and was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery. He loved to play poker with his friends and rant about politics, sports, and the state of the nation. He loved his paternal grandfather dearly and was raised with strong American values he tried to live up to. He was not a perfect person. He made his mistakes in life which he tried to make amends for where possible. He also made deep and meaningful friendships wherever he went. If his life is measured by how well he has loved and has been loved, his life can be counted as very well lived.

Al’s life will be celebrated by his friends and community on the 7th of January at 9am at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home on 632 SW “C” Avenue in Lawton, Oklahoma followed by an inurnment with military honors at 11am at Fort Sill National Cemetery.
