Allen T. Payne

Funeral service for Allen T. Payne, 81 of Lawton will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Delbert Hughes, pastor of Lighthouse Church of God officiating. 

Mr. Payne passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 in Lawton.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. 

Due to Covid-19 restrictions masks and social distancing will be required at the funeral home and cemetery.   

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, November 27, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 28, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until service time.    

Allen was born on February 4, 1939 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Arthur and Inez (Howard) Payne.  He grew up in Lawton where he attended school. He was a truck driver for Katy-K Meat Packing Company and also worked for a furniture company. Allen married Carolyn S. Bennett on March 31, 1970. She passed away in 2004. Allen enjoyed fishing and watching westerns, sitcoms, and the weather.  

He is survived by his daughters and sons in law, Candice and Daniel Fletcher, of Lawton, OK, Linda and James Gerling, of Slaughterville, OK, and Angie Robinson, of Lawton, OK; his son and daughter in law, Allen and Jamie Payne, of Elgin, OK; his brother, Mike Payne, of Lawton, OK; his sister, Sandy Long, of Lawton, OK; numerous grandchildren including Chandice Frederick, Jalynn Payne, and Tyler Payne; and many great grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn Payne; his sisters, Leona McAlister, Lois Ann Collins, Sharon McAlister,  and Mary Lou Duncan; his brothers, Johnny Payne, Wayne Payne, and Jerry Don Payne.
