Funeral service for Alvin Ray Dempsey, Jr., 56 of Lawton, will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel.

A wake will be held at 6:00 p.m. October 4, 2021 in his mother's home at 204 Antelope Drive, Cache, OK.

Alvin Ray Dempsey, Jr. passed away on September 30, 2021 in Lawton. 

He was born and raised in Cache, Oklahoma and attended Cache High School where he played football, becoming State Champions in 1976. He was a man of many means, and was a proud member of the Comanche Nation Tribe. Spending time with his family and friends was what he enjoyed the most. He had a passion for dancing, football, and basketball throughout his life. Alvin was a two-steppin' fool, and he loved country music, fishing, swimming, and camping.

Alvin was a loving father, son, uncle, brother, and friend who made an impact on many people's lives. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Alvin was preceded in death by his Cacoo, Wyonema Wayesappapy, and his father, Alvin Ray Dempsey, Sr. 

He is survived by his mother, Etta Rose Marin; his two sisters, Tammy Tago and Kimberly Angeles; his wife, Cassie Terven; his aunt and uncle, Helen and Tony Rodriguez; his children include Miranda Henning and husband, Sammy Henning, Chelsea Dempsey and husband Patrick Pilkington, Micah Gilley, Samantha Dilley, Hailey Terven, Stephen Fowler, Armando Demspey, Jordan Dempsey, and Anthony Dempsey; his 12 grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
