Barbara Endsley

Word has been received of the death of Barbara Endsley, 89 of Lawton. 

Ms. Endsley passed away on June 27, 2017 in Lawton. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.   

Viewing will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.,   Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Barbara was born on November 5, 1927 in Jacksonville, Florida to George John Phillip and Velma Violenta (Deardorf) Heuser. She spent the majority of her youth in Lawton, Oklahoma and graduated from Lawton High School . She married Lawrence Endsley on June 24, 1951 at the First Christian Church in Lawton, Oklahoma. They were married 59 years before Mr. Endsley passed away. Barbara worked as a civil servant for the United States Federal Government at Vandenburg Air Force Base in Lompoc, California and at Fort Sill, Oklahoma before her retirement. She was a loving mother and compassionate person who was open minded, humorous, and spiritual. She enjoyed reading and singing in the church choir and just singing in general. She was a member of the First Christian Church for many years. 

She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Kent and Sunny Endsley, of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada and Scott and Lynda Endsley, of Lawton, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Dustin Endsley, of Los Angeles, CA, Jason and Victoria Endsley, of Houston, TX, Colin Endsley, of Lubbock, TX, Devon Endsley, of Los Angeles, CA, Aaron and Jenny Endsley, of Lawton, OK, Sarah and David Click, of Chesapeake, VA, Lizzy Druvenga, of Lawton, OK and Katy and Chris Clark, of Lawton, OK; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Endsley; and two brothers, Melvin Heuser and Oscar "Buddy" Heuser.
