Bette "Dee" Witt

Memorial service for Bette "Dee" Witt, 61, of Grandfield, OK will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Lawton, with Rev. Mike Keahbone officiating.

Ms. Witt passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at her home in Grandfield.

Dee was born on July 27, 1962 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Burl Burton and Nina C. (Hunter) Ward. She worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in Lawton at Kirk's Ambulance Service and later at Apache EMS. She was currently the Assistant Director of the Grandfield Ambulance Service.  She married Bob Alton Baker and to that union two sons, John David "J.D" and Steven were born.

She is survived by her sons and daughter in law, J.D. and Taylor Baker, of Elgin, OK and Steven Baker of Grandfield, OK; her daughters, Jennifer Braly and Jodi Grotegut, both of CO; two brothers and a sister in law, Burl and Tina Ward, of Oklahoma City, OK and Wayne Rowe, of TN; her grandchildren, Braylee Baker, Brynlee Baker, and Bowen Baker; and her nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Bob Alton Baker; and two brothers, Emmett Ward and Daniel Ward.
