Billy Glenn Spradlin was born in Guymon, Oklahoma on November 25, 1961 to Charles and LaDonna Spradlin. In 1963, the family moved to Goleta, a small suburb of Santa Barbara, California. The family moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in the summer of 1974. Billy graduated from Bartlesville College-High School in 1980. While in high school, Bill attended Tri-County Technology Center where he obtained a certificate in food services. In the summer of 1980, he got his first job in radio at KXVQ-AM in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He graduated with an Associate Degree in Broadcasting from Northern Oklahoma College in 1983. In 1985, he received a Bachelors in Television and Radio Broadcasting at The University of Central Oklahoma. In 1986, he moved with his parents to Wichita, Kansas. The family moved to Kilgore, Texas in 1988. He worked at several Radio stations in Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, and Texas. Billy passed in his sleep Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was 59 years old.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billie Charles Spradlin and his mother, LaDonna Ann (Cook) Spradlin of Kilgore, Tx. He was survived by his brother, Charles Andrew Spradlin of Grand Prairie, Tx, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends worldwide.
