Blanche G. Sellars

Memorial service for Blanche G. Sellars, 98 of Grandfield will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Grandfield Church of Christ with Ronnie Lawson officiating. 

Mrs. Sellars passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 in Lawton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gray Funeral Home. 

Blanche was born on December 10, 1921 in Thornberry, Texas to Steven Lester and Mary Jane (Sears) Hansard. She grew up in Thornberry and graduated from Wichita Falls High School. She married Kenneth Sellars on December 6, 1941 and they moved to Grandfield in 1945. Blanche worked as a bookkeeper for Grandfield Motor Company for over 30 years before retiring in 1983. Mr. Sellars passed away on July 3, 2001. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Grandfield for many years. 

Blanche is survived by her sons and a daughter in law, David Sellars, of Lawton, Tony and Melissa Sellars, of Oklahoma City, OK and Ron Sellars, of Dallas, TX; her sister, Jane Darland, of Holly Lake Ranch, TX; grandchildren, Thea Sellars, Evan Sellars, and Pirie Sellars; her close friends, Joyce Varner, Vicki and Bud Whittington, and Becky Whittington; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Judy Sellars; brothers, Lester Hansard, Dale Hansard, and Louis Hansard; sisters, Mary Sue Swinford and Beulah Faye McNamara; and her daughter in law, Glenda Sellars.
