Funeral Service for former Grandfield, Oklahoma resident, Bobby Frank Lindsey, 83 will be held on July 6, 2018 at 10:00 am at Gray Funeral Home, Grandfield, Oklahoma.

Bobby passed away on June 25, 2018 peacefully in Anthem, AZ.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home in Grandfield.

Bobby was born in Grandfield, Oklahoma to Richard and Laura Lindsey and was the youngest of their 9 children.

Bobby grew up in Loveland, Oklahoma and graduated from Loveland High School. He then met and married Donna Lynn Gregory from Grandfield, Oklahoma, his wife of 64 years.

Bob and Donna started their lives in Grandfield, Oklahoma where he first worked at a gas station in Grandfield. Bobby changed jobs and worked in the lumber yard when soon after his daughter Marsha Diane was born. He then went to work for the Fina Refinery in Wichita Falls, and moved their family to Burkburnett, Texas where his son, Gregory Alan was born. In 1965, Bobby moved his family to Lakewood, California where shortly after his daughter Karen Kay was born.

Bob spent the majority of his career at the Golden Eagle Refinery as a diesel mechanic. In 1997, after 30 years of raising their family in Garden Grove, Bob retired and both he and Donna moved back to Grandfield. In 2013, Bob and Donna moved back to California to live closer to their children and to enjoy their families.

Bobby Lindsey was a bigger than life character who always had a story to tell, a grandchild on his lap and was ready to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need after meeting them. Moments after you did, somehow you would find yourself willing to do the same.

He loved his entire family from the depths of his heart. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by Donna and their 3 children, his daughter Marsha, his son Greg, and his daughter Karen. He is also the proud Grandad to 4 granddaughters, 3 great-granddaughter’s, and 5 great-grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grandfield Ambulance Fund, 223 S. Main, Grandfield, Oklahoma, 73546, phone #580-479-5589.
