Brent Lee Drumm

Word has been received of the death of Brent Lee Drumm, 71, of Lawton. 

After a lengthy battle with cancer, the good Lord called His son home. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.  

Born on January 17, 1947 in Omaha, Nebraska to Earl and Evelyn (Masters) Drumm. Being a military family, Brent was a toddler when they traveled to Alaska by ship. During that trip, the whole family was seasick except for Brent. Brent also got to live in Austria, Germany. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1965 and joined the United States Navy. However, his naval career was shortened due to his failing eyesight and on June 6, 1967, he received a medical discharge. Brent married the love of his life, Becky Bailey at Fort Carson, Colorado in 1969 and they made their home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Becky passed away in 2001. Brent worked for Wright Glass Company who was later City Glass Company in Colorado Springs for over 20 years before he lost his eyesight had to take a medical retirement. He was fond of camping and fishing and talked endlessly of the special times he shared with his wife Becky and good friends, Karl and Cheri Tant of Colorado Springs. 

He is survived by two sisters, Suzanne Mathews and Linda Bone both os Lawton, OK; his brother, Rodney Drumm; his sister-in-law, Margaret; numerous nieces and nephews; best friends, Karl and Cheri Tant, Patti Rodgers, and Denise Phillips; his Goddaughter, Shyla Tant and a great niece, Lydia Tant; Great Nephew, Wyatt Tant; and his beloved German Shepherd, Sammi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife, Becky.
