Carolyn "Sally" R. Harrison

Memorial service for Carolyn R. "Sally" Harrison, 80, of Duncan, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel, Lawton, Oklahoma.

Ms. Harrison passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 in Duncan. 

Carolyn was born on May 2, 1939 in Atoka, Oklahoma to James and Myrtle (Arthur) Harrison. She grew up in Atoka and the family moved to Akron, Ohio when she was 15 years old. She worked for Snyder Potato Chip Company and later worked as a bartender, raising her two daughters. Carolyn lived for awhile in Dayton, Ohio before returning to Akron. She worked for several years at KWA Factory in Kent, Ohio and later moved to Duncan, Oklahoma in March of 2013. Being one of 11 children she enjoyed teasing her sister. She was known as "Sally" to her family and friends and "Aunt Sil" to her many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her.  

She is survived by her two daughters, Althea Harris, of Lawton, OK and Wanda Harrison, of Akron, Ohio; her beloved brother whom she was very close to, Donald Harrison; her sisters, Corene Miller and Sheron Harrison; grandchildren, MenYon Thomas, Darrell Thomas, and Cordero Thomas; her great grandchildren, Darrell Thomas Jr,  and Kae'a Thomas; and many other loving family members and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ida Elaine Glover, Jewerl Kemp, Barbara Harrison, and Jorene Harrison; and her brothers and sisters in law, Edward and Ollie Harrison, Alfred and Agnes Harrison, Dwight Harrison, and Clyde Harrison.
