Corles June (James) Collins

Memorial service for Corles June Collins, of Lawton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel.

Ms. Collins passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 in Lawton.

Corles was born on September 15, 1955 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Boyd James Jr. and Tommie June (Duncan) James. She grew up in Odessa, Texas where she attended school. She lived in several towns in Oklahoma including Hugo, Fort Towson, Tulsa, and Swink before settling in Lawton in 1995. Corles married Gary Dan Collins and to that union her children were born. She was a homemaker who enjoyed being outside and was a great cook. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. Her family describes her as the "Heart of the Family". She was very outspoken and loved animals. She will be missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her sons, Brandon Collins, of Oklahoma City, OK, Thomas Vance Collins, of Lawton, OK and Ronald Gene Mantooth and wife, Michelle, of Blanchard, OK; her daughters, Shawna Collins, of Lawton, OK and Cheyenne Wantland and husband, Dawson Harkrider, of Valliant, OK; her brother, Boyd Franklin James, of Lawton, OK and her sister and brother in law, Gayla Renee and Harvey Friend, of Swink, OK; 8 grandchildren; and many other loving family members. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Jerry Douglas James and Marvin Ray James.
