Daniel was born February 28, 1933 in Warren, Ohio to Norbert and Marie Entler. Uncle Sam came calling in 1953 and Daniel was soon serving as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Army.  He met the love of his life, Virginia House, while stationed at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. Wedding bells were ringing on April 7, 1956 in Van Buren, Arkansas. They started a family, and he was soon the proud father of four Army Brats. Daniel served in multiple campaigns in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam. He was involved in several historical events, including deployment to the University of Mississippi in 1962 and an assignment to Elvis Presley’s security detail at Fort Chaffee. During his 24 years of distinguished service, he received many awards and honors, including four Bronze Stars and the Soldier’s Medal. Shortly after retiring at Fort Sill, he became a Papa!  After his military career, he worked for Pepsi Cola and Buy for Less Foods. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, and coloring with his great-grandkids. If you were to stop by the house you would most likely find him watching a movie from his massive John Wayne Collection or cheering on the Fightin’ Irish of Notre Dame Football.

He is survived by his loving wife Virginia Entler, Sister Elaine Rivera, Brother-in-Law Dennis Harris, Children Jim and Patty Entler, Teresa and Robert Sissom, Angela and Jerry King and Daniel Jr. and Sherri Entler; Grandchildren Amy Braly, Matt and Elise Kovar, Marie Kovar, Andrea and Mike Williams, Amanda and Joseph Sherrell and Courtney King, Great-Grandchildren Brooke Braly, Colton Nichols and fiance Emily Nunley, Jordan Williams, Bryce Braly, Tristian Kovar, Kaydence Kovar, Kinsey Kovar, Taya Kovar, Aydin Kovar, Alisa Kovar, Matthew Williams, Carson Williams, Makenzie Sherrell and Wyatt Sherrell; Honorary Family Members Ashley, Scott, Cooper and Creed Watson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
