The Legacy and Life of Darrell C. Logan
Darrell C. Logan was born on April 13, 1961 from the parents of Robert Williams and Thelma Lee Owens in Fredrick, Oklahoma. Darrell received his formal education in the Lawton Public School system in Lawton, Oklahoma, and graduated from Eisenhower High School in January 1979.
Darrell departed this life on Friday, October 22, 2021, and he will be greatly missed by those that loved him. He was preceded in death by his beloved devoted Mother Thelma Owens, Grandmother Alma Carraway (Grandpa Moon) and Great-Grand Mother Gussie Mae Truesdale (AC Truesdale). Grandfather George and Grandmother Ruth Willis and many other beloved family members that were instrumental in his life.
Darrell is lovingly remembered by his loving companion Twonda Thompson, father, Robert Williams (wife Olga Janice Williams), stepfather, Dan Owens, seven children, Candy Burnett (husband Donald Burnett, Ja’Taia and Ja’Khari Burnett); Torey Logan (wife Ashley Logan, Mia, Adrian, Liliana, Kaya Logan); Rachel Youngblood (Niles Youngblood-Miller); Brittany Denise Stockdale (Kendall, Kollin and Amiya Jones); Whitney Logan-Campbell (wife Kelly Campbell, Maxwell Colyer); Darrah Logan (Richard, Aeryn and Jaxon) and Donovan Thompson (Tyson Thompson). Three sisters Germaine Williams (Pierson Williams, Jude and Faris Smith); Lisa Davis (husband Louis Davis; Robert, Kevin and Deont’e Williams) and R. Denise Stevenson and one brother Ronnie (wife Naruemol Williams, Aidan, Alyssa and Orin Williams), uncle, Gregory and Cynthia (Serg) Wilson, uncle, Ricky Charles Wilson and Pat Johnson (who held a special place in his heart as cousin, sister and strong supporter) and a host of family members, friends and colleagues. To include Finnis Shelnutt, his New Orleans brother from another mother.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDuffie Mortuary of Houston, TX and Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home (632 SW C Avenue, Lawton, Ok 73501). Viewing will be held at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, and service will begin promptly at 11:00 am. Final resting place will take place at Fort Sill National Cemetery, 2648 NE Jake Dunn Road, Elgin, Oklahoma 73538 at 1:00 pm.
