Funeral service for David Kent Jung, 55 of Lawton will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
Mr. Jung passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 in Lawton.
David was born on December 28, 1963 in Lawton, Oklahoma to George and Pauline (Duesman) Jung. He grew up in Lawton where he attended school, graduating from Lawton High School in 1982. While in high school, David was the Oklahoma State Saddlebronc Rider Championship for 1980-81. After high school, he worked with his dad and brothers at George R. Jung and Sons Remodeling while rodeoing part time. He later worked for GGG Construction and Ford Roofing before becoming the maintenance supervisor at Liberty National Bank. He enjoyed riding horses, painting and playing the guitar and in his free time, he enjoyed listening to all kind of music while working in his woodshop. At the request of his mother, Polly, David made the alter for the Immaculate Conception Church in Marlow. A true Craftsman, Friend, and Cowboy, David was a gentle man with many talents and was not scared of any task you presented him with. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by two daughters, Charlie Jung, of Elgin, and Raquel Jung, of Lawton; his father, George Jung, of Lawton; two brothers and sisters in law, Greg and Darlene Jung, of Lawton and Rick and Lily Jung of Lawton; his grandchildren, Sergio "Junior" Granados, Analisia "Ana" Granados, Ziclali "Cali" Garcia, Ramiro "Fric" Granados, Braulio "Lil Man" Garcia, Sol "Frac" Granados, and Nayeli "Nelly" Perez; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline "Polly" Jung.
