Word has been received of the death of David Earl Kesler, 68 of Lawton.
Mr. Kesler passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
A memorial service is planned at a later date in Lompoc, California.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
David was born on November 3, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Edward and Eula May (LaRose) Kesler. After his high school graduation, he attended college in California where he met Wanda Mae DeArman. They were married and had three children. He was a school teacher for 30+ years and was nominated for Who's Who Among American Teachers in the 1990's. He was a member of the Lompoc First Baptist Church for many years. He moved to Lawton in 2004. He loved working in the yard and was always tinkering and staying busy unless he was napping.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, Aaron and Lisa Kesler, of Millbrae, CA and Keanon Kesler, of Lompoc, CA; his daughter and son in law, Mae and Brian McGaw, of Lompoc, CA; four brothers and their wives, Ron and Kay Kesler, Steve and Francine Kesler, Ken and Bonnie and Kesler, and Dan Kesler; his sister, Sharon Kesler; his grandson, Christopher McGaw, of Lompoc, CA; his best buddy, Michael Galon Bedwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
