David "Big Chris" Christopher Rehkop

Funeral service for David Christopher "Big Chris" Rehkop, 53, of Lawton, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel. 

Mr. Rehkop passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his home in Lawton. 

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Chris was born on April 24, 1970 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Dave and Brenda (Ticer) Rehkop. The family lived in Germany for a short time until returning to Lawton in 1974 where Chris grew up and attended Lawton High School. He also attended Cameron University. Chris worked Security and Loss Prevention for JC Penney and Kmart. He then worked at Scooters for 25 years as Head of Security and later as the General Manager until his retirement. Chris married Dianne Nededog and to that union two sons were born. He coached his sons football, and loved watching them play. As family meant everything to Chris, he enjoyed the family attending Chickasha Christmas lights every year and enjoyed going to their weekly family dinners. He also liked golf, and watching OU Football and Dallas Cowboys. Chris' greatest joy was being "PawPaw" to his grandson and "Mini Me" Christopher, whom he loved spending time with. He will be missed by many friends and family members.         

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Lucas Cade and Ruby Rehkop and Samuel Evan and Ceirra Rehkop, all of Lawton, OK; his mother, Brenda Rehkop, of the home; his father, Dave Rehkop, of O'Fallon, MO; his sister and her husband, Sara and Ty Hagler, and their son, of MO; his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Monica and their family, of MO; and his grandson, Christopher Rehkop; his life partner, Elizabeth Hadley and her sons, of Oklahoma City, OK; and a host of loving friends and relatives.
