Delbert was born on July 1, 1943 in Lookeba-Sickles to Hubert White and Rosamond “Bobbie” Hixon Bybee. The family moved to Lawton in the 1950s where Delbert graduated from Lawton High School in 1961. He served in the National Guard and worked for Mead’s Fine Bread which later became Farm Fresh Bakery until retiring from the Baker’s Union. He also worked at Home Décor and owned and operated W&W Mechanical with his brother Royce and nephew-in-law Jim Wiersema. Delbert married Barbara Williams White and they had one son Robert. Barbara passed away after many years of marriage. Delbert loved fishing and hand fishing. He taught his son and generations of nieces and nephews how to fish. His most recent fishing buddy, Kiska Brassington, convinced him to raise chickens and we all made the best memories with him and his crazy chickens. He was a Good Ole Boy that loved family, dogs, kids and his mama.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Royce and Elsie White of Elgin, OK; his sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Paul McWilliams, of Lawton, OK; his brother and sister-in-law, Milton and Gail Bybee, of Apache, OK; his sister Kaleta Hudgins, of Kansas; and his sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Phillip London, of Apache, OK; his nieces and nephews and their spouses, Pam Wiersema, Jim Wiersema, Cindy Wright and Walt Wright, Lisa McWilliams and Toni Barrowman, and Landon and Ginni McWilliams; his cousin and care-giver, Gloria Hixon; and many other cousins and relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Barbara White; his son, Robert White; his sister and brother-in-law Laquita and Lee Monroe; his sister Carla Huckleberry; his sister-in-law Ginger White; and his brother-in-law, Jim Hudgins.
