Dolores F. Wood

Dolores F. Wood, 76, of Devol, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the First Baptist Church, Devol, OK, with Derrick Freshour officiating.

Interment will be in the Devol Cemetery under the direction of Gray Funeral Home, Grandfield, OK.

Mrs. Wood was born December 5, 1942, in Cache, OK, to Henry Ules and Marie E. (Hood) Barfield. She grew up in Cache and attended school, graduating with the Class of 1960. She married William A. Wood on February 6, 1995. Delores loved to read and watch t.v.. She loved her children and grandchildren very much. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Devol.

Survivors are her husband, Al Wood, of the home; three sons, Donald Sampley of Devol, OK; Michael Roy Henley of Huntsville, TX; William Wood and wife, Lisa of Arlington, TX; five daughters, Camie Best and husband, Jeff of Comanche, OK; Esther Bokal and husband, Rick of Phoenix, AZ; Milanna Thompson of Grandfield, OK; Marilyn Burleson of Burkburnett, TX; Dorinda Lackley of Wichita Falls, TX; two brothers, C. J. Barfield of Devol, OK;  Lindy Barfield of Cache, OK; three sisters, Amelia Akin and husband, Jack of San Diego, CA; Rixi Milliron and husband, Don of Redmond, OR; Nina Bruce and husband, Billy of Temple, OK; 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Marie Barfield; her brothers, Robert, Vern and Mike Barfield; her sister Coweta Kenningham and her granddaughter, Sabrina Samuels.
