Funeral service for Edwin F. Pauley Sr., 94 of Lawton, OK will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday July 5, 2018 in the Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ben Wellsand will officiate the service.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Pauley passed away on Saturday June 30, 2018 in Lawton, OK.
Edwin was born on January 19, 1924 in Ordway, CO to Jay F. Pauley and Beulah L. Pauley . He grew up in the Walters and Cookie Town area of Oklahoma during the depression; times were hard and he was only able to attended school until the eighth grade. For a short time he worked in the zinc mines of northeastern Oklahoma. He returned to Lawton and began his long career as a brick layer. Ed married Ruby Jo "Jodie" Pauley on November 27, 1951 in Waco, Texas. She passed away on February 23, 2017. Ed loved to fish and spent many days in the outdoors.
He is survived by his sons: Ed Pauley Jr. of Lawton, OK and Terry Pauley of Plano, TX. His daughter and son in law; Regina and Tom Banks of Lawton, OK. His grandchildren: Sara Wellsand and her husband Ben of Columbia, MO; Keith Banks and his wife Erika of Norman, OK; Amy Banks of Noble, OK; Hunter Pauley and his wife Ashly of Austin, AR; Jace Coale and his husband Justin of Yukon, OK; Braden Pauley of Lawton, OK and Brycen Pauley of Lawton, OK. He also leaves behind ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jodie Pauley and his brother, James Pauley.
