Erna Lee (McCoy) Florida

Funeral services for Erna Lee Florida, 66, of Walters will be held graveside at 2 p.m. on Tuesday June 26, 2018.  Pastor David McCracken will officiate.

Mrs. Florida passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Oklahoma City, OK at OU Medical Center. 

Erna was born April 6, 1952 in Lawton, OK to John and Hazel McCoy. She attended Eisenhower High School.   In July of 1980, Erna met the love of her life; it was love at first sight for both her and her future husband, Marty Florida.  After dating for six weeks; she and Marty married on August 25, 1980 in Wichita Falls, TX. After Marty's time in the Army, the couple returned to Marty's home in Murfreesboro, TN.  In 1997, the couple returned to live in Lawton and only recently moved to Walters, OK.   Erna was a homemaker.  When she was not caring for her husband and home; Erna could be found painting or enjoying an episode of the 700 club on television.

Erna is survived by her husband, Marty of the home. Her fur babies, Sassy and Precious. Her bird, Bobby.  Erna also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins,  and brother in law.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
